Hand of the Mysteries

The alchemical symbol of apotheosis, the transformation of man into god, is traditionally represented by an image of a hand with other symbols, including skulls, crowns, stars, fish, keys, lanterns, astrological symbols and the all-seeing eye.

The Hand of the Mysteries goes by many other names, including the Hand of the Master Mason, Hand of the Philosopher, and the Emblematic Hand of Mysteries.

It is said that the hand holds the keys to divinity, and is used as an invitation to discover the ‘great secrets.’

Loving the book..find myself “researching”(google)..lol..every couple of pages ..and sometimes more (hence i’m only still in the 12th chapter. But as to the hand..i don’t know what greater mysteriy they might mean or what “knowledge ” they had that is really secret anymore..lol..but it looks like a symbolic spiritual quest ..pretty simple if you think of it,” the key is for opening the path, the lantern for traversing the darkness of ingnorance, the sun represents earthly enlightenment, and the star is for when you have finailly reached the stage of universal awareness.”.of entanglement, and the power of conscienceness..the crown speaks for itself..and I think that while my view is probably painfully simplistic to more educated folk..its probably also the most common, ..Supported by the fact the the l church leaders wanted to keep people ignorant to the degree that for the most part they blinded themselves ..the use of symbols was not for the literate initially..and theuse of these is really self explainitory. What a shame we haven’t harnessed the powers of mass conscieceness yet..but then as in all things that are meant to be..we will. LOL..Nothing stays secret that any two people know.
Its not weird at all ..I believe its an invitation given for the best of reasons.

This plays a bit-part near the start of Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol!

What do you think?
