The basement of this Maryland mansion is a recreation of a small town street at the turn of the century, complete with cobblestones, vintage cars, and 15 storefronts.
This $4.5 million mansion in Potomac, Maryland has seven bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, and a surprising secret in the basement: An elaborate recreation of downtown Americana at the turn of the century.
The cobblestone streets and authentic storefronts are reminiscent of the Streets of Old Milwaukee or the Streets of Yesterday at House on the Rock. But this isn’t a peculiar roadside attraction or an immersive museum exhibit – it’s a perfectly normal (albeit large) private residence with an entire street complete with vintage cars in the basement.
