The Mothman Prophecies
The mysterious Mothman is said to be a prophet of doom. He was sighted by multiple witnesses before the deadly Silver Bridge collapse in Point Pleasant, WV. He was seen over Chernobyl the day the reactor exploded. In recent years he’s been seen again and again in Chicago.
Fur-Bearing Trout
Fish with hair may not be quite as mysterious or awe-inspiring as their larger cryptid counterparts. In spirit, they are more closely related to the jackalope – dusty old tchotchkes relegated to the walls of grandpa’s garage or the shelves of the antique shop.
In 2015, however, a fisherman in Wisconsin claimed to catch a mythical fur-bearing trout.
